Off and running again

by corioboria @ 28 Nov. 2006 - 22:18:00

OK I got back on the scales yesterday after my interesting few weeks, I've reset my ticker and I'm ready to set off again in the pursuit of health, fitness and general well=being.

Of course this week is probably not the most auspicious one to begin a weight loss campaign. For a start I am not well and need to concentrate on recovering my health before I can really get on track.

For a second I am just too busy, with some more random relative visits planned, and my son's second birthday party to organise on Saturday.

But if I don't start again now, I may never start again. And my weight may creep back up into the zone where this ticker would be neagative. And I have promised myself I am never going there again....

So I propose a gentle start this week. There will be no scheduled exercise - I'm too sick and I haven't got time. I am making a faithful promise that I will get back to it next week. For this first week then - two rules only:

Drink lots of water

Practice portion control and try not to be too piggy.

Let's see how I get on with that!

Portion control is the killer for me! Seems I have been trying to build up my winter fat for months now!

Yup me too. Plus for some reason I can't seem to kick the habit of eating for two acquired during my three years of constant pregnancy/breastfeeding.

I'm with you on that one gal....my weight has crept up and up recently, probably due to my over indulgence in chocolate & vino and my lack of going anywhere without the car!!! Things have to change !

He He He ... eating for two, I am stuck in exactly the same place at the moment ! My darling son is 8 1/2 months old and that's what I do !!! I had awful morning sickness (all of the time) for the first 4 or so months of pregnancy and the doctore advised me to eat little and often, so I did. But the sickness stopped and I kept eating ... and what do you know ... 3 STONE !!! Oh My Goodness ! I am sat at the computer contemplating a happier, healthier me and then glancing over at a tin of "celebrations" ! My other half promised me no chocolate etc in the house this Christmas and I think he has been worse than ever, and I can honestly say on a scale of 1-10 my will power clocks up about MINUS 10 !!! Good luck to you though ... I will keep popping in and maybe your journey will inspire me to do something too !!!
